SBA ARC Loans for Recovery

SBA's Recovery Act loan programs provide new incentives for small businesses to help them through these tough economic times.

This interview features Jim O'Connor, director of the Small Business Training Network, and Janet Tasker, Deputy Associate Administrator for the Office of Capital Access. They discuss how the America's Recovery Capital, or ARC, loan can help viable small businesses experiencing financial hardship.

SBA: The Recovery Act and Government Contracting

There are great opportunities for small businesses to grow through contracting with the Federal government. Annually the Federal government awards $500 billion in contracts. In addition, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act has provided approximately $60 billion in additional Federal government contracts, as well as many additional opportunities through the states.

SBA Emerging 200 Program

The goal of the SBA Emerging 200 initiative is to identify 200 inner-city businesses across the country that show a high potential for growth—and to provide them the network, resources and motivation required to build a sustainable business of size and scale. The initiative will run executive training series in a number of urban areas and Native American communities during the 2010 cycle.
